Terms and Conditions
BHWA cannot reimburse travel costs or other losses incurred by you in the event of cancellation by us or you. You are advised to take out travel insurance to cover potential loss arising from cancellation or other eventuality affecting your booking, including course fees and travel costs. You should check that your policy meets your needs.
Changes to the programme
BHWA reserves the right to make changes to the advertised programme and tutors. If a tutor is unable to attend the course, we will replace them with another tutor of equal knowledge and experience whilst giving you as much notice as possible. In the rare event that we have to cancel the course, you will be allocated to a new course and date. If that is not possible, we will offer you either a refund or a place on a similar course. Please note that where we have had to change tutors or dates, our standard terms regarding cancellations and booking fees will still apply.
At our discretion you may be able transfer your booking to another course, subject to availability. We will normally accept requests for transfers up to four weeks before the start of the scheduled course. If we receive a request for a transfer less than four weeks before the start of a course, we will only transfer your booking so long as the full booking fee has been paid and a replacement person can be found for your place on the original course booked.
BHWA courses rely on a level of tolerance and understanding of others and their creative work and we ask you to be respectful of the other participants. BHWA reserves the right to refuse a place or exclude a person from a course if, in the opinion of our staff, a person behaves in an abusive, insulting or discriminatory manner. No refund of course fees will be made if a person is excluded on these grounds. Under 18sNo person under the age of 18 may attend a BHWA course.
Participation and access
We have attempted to provide environments that are accessible for those with disabilities and to provide a supportive and caring environment. We are unable to provide continuous care for a person with disabilities and they should make their own arrangements as need be. If you have any specific needs please raise with us at the time of the initial booking.
BHWA does not accept responsibility for any loss, damage or expense sustained by students as a result of an event or circumstance arising, from natural cause or human agency, or beyond its control or otherwise. Where BHWA is unable to provide a course place for you for any reason, our liability is limited to a return of fees paid.
If you have a complaint regarding the course, please raise it immediately with our staff so that it can be addressed.
We will give a full refund if we need to cancel a course/workshop. Unfortunately as a small business we cannot give cash refunds for places booked on our courses. Each course has a limited number of places and each place is crucial to the running of the academy. Please do not book onto a course unless you are sure you will be able to attend. However, if there are exceptional circumstances, such as a serious medical condition, requests may be made in writing for a full or partial credit. This credit can be used as part payment for any course or workshop within 12 months. A medical certificate or letter from a medical professional will be required..
